“Perfect Way To Start 2015”

"It was my first time to Ireland and my fiancé and I happened to be here to ring in 2015... I could not find a more welcoming place then The Castle Lodge. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Gerry & Eithne. After receiving our room we were invited to sit and enjoy coffee and tea. They answered any questions I had about the town from sites to see and where to find a good pint! The room was very clean and breakfast was amazing, all cooked to order and fresh! I would highly recommend Castle Lodge to anyone traveling in this area."

"Wonderful Weekend"

"First time writing a review, this B and B was that good. Myself and my boyfriend stayed for a night last weekend and Eithne and Gerry were so welcoming. We had some tea and a chat with Eithne when we arrived, and received loads of tips and advice on where to go in Malahide etc.
We were going to a party down the road and the two were so accommodating about us coming in a little later that night etc. Our room was lovely. Clean, super comfortable bed (as comfy as our own which you can never find in hotels or B and B's), could have slept in it for days. The room was warm, kettle and tea bags etc were definetly used (we are Irish after all :P), and the ensuite was very nice too. Warm showers that evening and the next morning. I didn't indulge in breakfast myself (morning after a party), but my boyfriend said the Full Irish was top notch, we had a great chat with Gerry during breakfast too.
Only a 10 minute walk into the town and train station to go home that morning, we were even offered a lift by Gerry which was so helpful, but the cold morning air was needed. Only 30 minutes on the train home to Dublin, very handy. 
Overall it really is a great place to stay, wouldn't be writing a review otherwise. If you are going to Malahide, (which in itself is worth a visit), 182% stay at Castle Lodge B and B, you won't regret it :D"

“Great B&B!”

"I stayed here on my last night in Ireland for this most recent visit. I've stayed in a few B&Bs in Ireland over the years and this is one I'll definitely stay in again. 

The hosts were amazingly helpful, kind and welcoming. They provided me with hot tea and biscuits while I waited for my room to be ready. They suggested things to do, places to eat and drink, and the best ways to get around! 

My room was very comfortable, the en suite nice and clean, and very quiet at the back of the house. The house is comfortable also, including a sitting room with fireplace. The back patio off of the room I stayed in looks like it would be great in the warmer months! I'll have to come back then. Breakfast was of course delicious and it was good to sit and talk with other travelers. 

The location is central (train station/DART is in town) and it is an easy to walk into town. Lots of nice shops, restaurants, and a couple of good pubs serving food also. The castle, the beach and marina are all definitely worth spending time visiting, even when it isn't summer."

"Following an accommodation disaster where 16 people had to be catered for at the last minute, Eithne was definitely the silver lining in our very black cloud! Having come across the B&B by chance, she couldn't have been more helpful in trying to help us with our problem, taking half the group in her abode, and arranging for the rest of us to stay at another local B&B. The location was excellent with the town, castle and coast all in walking distance. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, all staff were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, exactly what you needed to kick start the day, especially when delivered by a singing waitress!!!

You couldn't have felt more welcome, it was quite literally home from home! A lovely place I would heartily recommend, wonderful helpful and accommodating people. Thank you for everything Eithne! A wee Irish Angel!"
